Using a model provided by the production (artist unknown,)

we were able to begin our process with a head start. We processed the "PKR" model,

by making it a water tight mesh, while also removing any extraneous portions which would

not be milled, such as the landing skids, and the internal framework, which would be

added by the productions fabrication team. We split the model into several sizable parts and then

milled each one on our DMS 5 Axis gantry style milling machine. Portions of the finished parts were then assembled, sanded, and coated in a durable polyurethane shell. The interior and exterior of the ship were sanded back to a mid level finish, giving it the appearance of cast metal, and the panel lines were then sharpened by hand.

The final, full scale "PKR 23 Ship" was then given a grey Industrial paint coat and handed off

to the productions onsite teams to complete an amazing paint finish, and fabrication.
